Home improvement boost for Absolute
Absolute PR and Marketing, has secured two new clients in the home improvement and building products and services sector, both of which are located in the south west. Newton Abbot based House Martin and Hamilton Litestat, located in Wiltshire, have retained Absolute PR and Marketing to run their press offices and drive pro-active media relations and marketing campaigns to boost sales generation and support business growth plans.
Both new accounts were won as a result of competitive tenders in which Absolute demonstrated its knowledge of the home improvement and building products and services sector, gained from working with clients such as Continental Underfloor Heating, Wood Energy, The Benbow Group and WFC.
House Martin hired Absolute PR and Marketing to raise its profile as a market leading online retailer of decorative finishing products such as coving, panelling and skirting boards, to both trade and consumer audiences. The account team at Absolute will embark on a targeted media relations campaign to capitalise on the ‘don’t move – improve’ consumer mood and to ensure that House Martin has a strong presence in printed and online media read by specifiers in the residential and commercial building trades.
“A PR campaign will provide a cost-effective way of building House Martin’s profile as an online retailer in the home interiors sector, driving interested buyers to the websites and ultimately providing them with sales leads in what is a challenging market,” commented Rachael Whitson, account director at Absolute PR and Marketing. “As House Martin trades across two websites – one for trade customers and one for consumers – we are working with leading trade and consumer publications in printed and online formats.”
UK-leading supplier of electrical wiring accessories, Hamilton Litestat, employed Absolute after a review of its existing PR arrangements, with a brief to support its national sales activities and new product launches in the switches, sockets and lighting controls sector.
“Hamilton Litestat’s brief was very trade focused. We will be pro-actively seeking opportunities to build on the company’s reputation as a market leader in the lighting field and to showcase new product launches to trade audiences with buying power,” added Rachael Whitson. “We will also be working with Hamilton on wider marketing activities such as maximising presence at trade exhibitions, strengthening communications with existing customers and developing the company’s online presence. Both House Martin and Hamilton Litestat have great products and our job is to make sure they are placed in front of the right people at the right time to support the work of their sales teams.”
