Absolute Helps Clients Click With Customers

Local businesses, Pipers Farm and Sitting Spiritually are reaping the benefits after turning to an Exeter PR firm for help with increasing their on-line sales.

In the three months Absolute PR & Marketing has been working with Martin Young of Sitting Spiritually orders for his bespoke garden swing seats have risen by 46% on this time last year.

“I made it clear from the outset to APR&M that I wanted to increase traffic to my website because I knew this would deliver orders for the swing seats,” explains Martin Young, owner of Sitting Spiritually based in Lyme Regis. “I can track how many more people are logging on to www.sittingspiritually.co.uk and the figures have more than doubled since I brought APR&M on board. The resulting increase in sales speaks for itself.”

Using a combination of PR tactics including editorial, competitions and e-communications, APR&M has helped Martin achieve a wider profile. This success convinced him to take his swing seats to the Chelsea RHS Flower Show for the first time.

“I wasn’t planning on going this year but I felt now was the time to capitalise on the buzz that’s been generated for the swing seats,” says Martin.

Sitting Spiritually is not APR&M’s only on-line success story. It’s been a year since APR&M were appointed by Pipers Farm and what a year it’s been! The business is run by Peter and Henrietta Greig who have a shop in Magdalen Road, Exeter and also run a national on-line meat delivery service.

APR&M’s brief from the outset was to increase on-line sales substantially and this has successfully been achieved – on-line sales are up 84% on this time last year.

“The on-line meat market is very competitive and we knew it was crucial to communicate the uniqueness of our products to potential customers,” says Peter Greig. “We are 21st century farmers who pride ourselves in maintaining the very best traditions of livestock rearing and combining this with a really modern approach when it comes to dealing with a generation who are internet savvy.”

Working closely with Peter and Henrietta Greig, APR&M ensure Pipers Farm is never out of the spotlight and customers throughout the region and nationwide receive the message that quality meat is only a click away at www.pipersfarm.com.

PR Manager Gabriel Roberts says: “We are helping our clients achieve real business objectives on-line and of course they love the fact that they can demonstrably measure what PR is achieving for them in terms of sales.

The success Absolute PR & Marketing has achieved with Pipers Farm and Sitting Spiritually has not gone unnoticed. As a result they have recently been appointed by two Westcountry clients, Gribble’s Butchers and Salcombe Holiday Homes, both of whom are looking to increase their presence on-line.
